Qlik Data transfer to transfer data encrypted

Hi all,

We are newly starting to explore the Qlik Sense Cloud SAAS solutions. With regards to on premise data transfer to Qlik Sense cloud we were exploring the Qlik Data Transfer. However one of the requirements from our security team is to encrypt the files before uploading to cloud and decrypt it before consuming in the application.

In Qlik Sense onpremise server we have an option to encrypt the QVD / QVF using a certificate (Server Cluster -> Data encryption section). Was trying to check if in Qlik Data transfer if there is similar option?

Also wanted to check if we can transfer the flat files using Qlik Data transfer as QVD's to Qlik Cloud or not? Kindly help suggest. Thanks in Advance

Best Regards

Amar

Hello amars, regarding your questions, QDT does not have a specific option to encrypt files before uploading but in any case QDT sends the files to SaaS using HTTPS. On the other hand, yes it is possible to send flat files, which are supported by SaaS (QVD, xlsx, csv, etc).

You can find the HTTPS info in the following link: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/QlikDataTransfer/install...
