SQL Server pre processing or ETL in Qlik Sense

Hello,

We currently have dozens of stored procedures in Microsoft SQL preprocessing data. These stored procedures are out of data and need to go through a thorough data validation process.

In the process of building a new framework in QlikSense, we are looking at alternate options.

Option 1: Extract raw db from SQL server - Perform Transforms in QS (saved as QVD)

Option 2: Preprocess data in SQL server - extract preprocessed data - Perform additional transform in QS

Both appear to have pro's vs con's.

Any suggestions/advice is welcome.

Raw Data from SQL and do Transform in Qlik - will give flexibility to transform data as needed and in case of multiple projects ..as many times as needed ...  in long run will reduce rework
