I think it will be difficult to find features which you could adjust to work one time in single-threaded mode and the other time in a multi-threading way and even when that they are further comparable to each other. Means one or another parameter to a function or load-statement may disable a multi-threading execution but are both testings further quite the same? Rather not.
Maybe more suitable may be to disable the multi-threading itself. AFAIK this could be done on the bios/uefi-, VM- or OS-level but also within the QMC respectively with certain settings within settings.ini - at least in View they exists.
