[07B0:1DB8][2014-09-22T11:35:59]i000: Displaying error message. Title: Qlik Sense Desktop setup 1.0.0.0 - A fatal error has occurred. Information: Error while trying to load the ULA
Computer characteristics:
Win 7 Pro x64 w/Russian locale
CPU Intel i7-4770, RAM 8GB
Internet is accessible during installation
Can someone explain potential causes of this problem?
Dear Andrey,
Can you try to run the installer as administrator? select the installer (.exe)>right-click> run as administator.

Gio,
Thank you for suggestion. Already did it, and the result is the same.
I am trying to find out why the User license agreement could have problems to load.
Could it be that you don´t have full rights to do installations on your pc?
No, I have local admin rights.
HI Andrey - I researched this a bit - I even put a sniffer on my machine to see if the installation program wa reaching out to an ip to grab the ULA and perhaps that IP was blocked somehow in your environment. I did not see any such traffic leaving my machine during the install.
So I am leaning towards a possibly corrupted .exe installation package.
The installation file should be:
Size: 106 MB (111,962,104 bytes)
Size on disk: 106 MB (111,964,160 bytes)
If you want to take this to the next level:
Can you download this Microsoft checksum utility and see if you get the same hash value as i did:
Download Microsoft File Checksum Integrity Verifier from Official Microsoft Download Center
c:\temp\checksum\fciv.exe -type *.exe Qlik_Sense_Desktop_x64setup.exe
3eaeee2a8d76c655f94f0a1c05f3b072
You should get the above value
if not download the setup installation file for Qlik Sense Desktop again.
