After the installtion, all the services seem to be ok :

However, when when I try to go on the accesspoint, I have the following message :

Have you got any idea of this problem ?

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

One more point

In IIS 7 the CGI needs to be installed. This can be done in "Server Manager".

Note: The CGI environment is not installed by default.

Thanks

You also want to check that asp.net 4 is actually registered with iis/windows.  I had an issue this week where .net 4 showed up in iis config, but it actually wasn't registered.  I had to run a couple of command line statements to finally get the server to serve pages.

Here are the commands

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis -i

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis -i

I'm with the same problem, but I use QVWS.

I installed Fiddler, as Stefan pointed out and realized that the problem occurs in Windows user authentication in QlikView.

QlikView is trying to authenticate several times without success. I noticed that in the Event Viewer all these attempts are logged, but always appears as ‘Logout’ from the system and do not ‘Login’.

The OS is: Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 with Service Pack 1. The language is Portuguese (BR).

Another point that might be relevant: The .Net Framework 4.0 services are not started. When I try to start them, the message that it was started and stopped.

I had the same symptom as this at a client - but the fix was slightly different.

We changed the password on the service account that was used for IIS, forcing the app pool to re-authenticate.  However, it transpired there were two QlikView app pools - one tied to the QlikView site and the other with no applications.  Unfortunately the wrong one started up.  Stopping one and starting the other fixed the issue.

I suspect that the redundant app pool was left over from a previous installation of QlikView (they have upgraded from v9, via v10 to v11) that was not removed with the uninstall.

Thanks to those who have contributed to this thread - it pointed me in the right direction (IIS) pretty quickly.

Hi All,

Steve> Glad to hear you got it working.

I have tried all of the suggestions above and am still getting a http 401 error in Fiddler.

it says that 'You do not have permission to view this directory or page'.

my IIS application pool looks like this.

I've added in ISAPI and CGI and set them as per a previous post.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

My server guys are about to build me a new test server in the Virtual Machine, so I can start from scratch with this process.  I need to get this right before I tackle the Production Server which is still V10 SR3.

I should add that we are running IIS 7

thanks,

John.

Hi John,

Check if all Qlikview applications are linked to the Qlikview IIS Application Pool

Hi,

I have installed QlikView Server 11.2 on Windows server 2008 R2 (64 bit). I am using the QlikView web server and not IIS 7.0. When I open the accesspoint using URL -

http://localhost/qlikview/index.htm

This works fine.

However when I mention the server name or server IP address in URL (http://server-ip-address/qlikview/index.htm), it just shows me "loading content". I changed the QWS port number from 80 to 4080 and stopped the IIS, but still no luck.

Please help me to fix this issue.

Thanks,

Samir Prasadi.

Hi Samir!

This issue has occurred with me. In my case, the problem was the server name, that had an underline (Control_Server).

When I changed the name to "ControlServer", it simply worked.
