local security group

Hi,

I'm tring to limitate the access to enterprise management console, so I've added a group to a Docuement Administrator in the Server\Folder tab.

Now when a member of this group try to start Enterprise management consol corrctly views only the Task and document tab, but an error is showed:

"The user is not membero of a local security policy group", which policy I have to set up for the user, so the system can work?

The user that log-on as Document Administrator is a Power user.

Thank for help

This is apparently no longer governed by the local security group, but as settings on each Source Folder in Distribution Service. In the Enterprise Management Console, navigate to System > Setup > Distribution Services > QDS@[machine] > General, and add users for each Source Folder.

When changing group membership in Windows Server (especially 2008), a logout-login procedure is required to have the security to apply. Have that user to do that, and try again.

Thank, I've tried that, but It's still not working.

I've also tried to access the link from another computer in the network, but it still doesn't work.

IE shows a blank page saying "The user isn't member of local policy groups'

I don't recognize the exact message you are referring to, and it differs between your descriptions. Can you copy and paste the exact error message as it is stated, so we can rule out group membership?

Thanks,

Thank you.

The exact massage is a blak page with the following:

Access Denied

Membership of local security groups is missing.

Please refer to the manual for more information.

Hi. Just to sure that you have the correct name: "QlikView Document Administrator" is the group name.

Hi,

Yes, the "Folder Access" tab header I see  on the server properties is:

Name Path   Supervision Accounts   Document Administrators

I created a local User group containing 3 domain account and then I added this group to a directory in the "Document Administrators" Column.

Now, the behavior that I hope is that when one of the 3 peoble in the group log on to QMC sees only the tasks and documents tabs showing oly the files stored in the directory whom he's the administrator.

I followed the process described in the 8 videos posted on youtube by qliktech on febrary 2011.
