Monitoring a web QV document

Hi,

I've published a QV document on the QV web server and I need to monitor his behaviour. Is there any log that I can see?

Thanks

Hi

you can see the logs forn the paths mentioned below

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer

or you can config a server moniter app to see the performance and app usage of all the documents you have in your qlikview server.

hope that helps

Regards

Ok, I can see a log for the Sessions and another for the Performances.

Thanks

For document reload execution, you need to enable it on your document.

At QV Desktop go to settings -> Document Properties -> General Tab ->

Check the box of generate log file on the right.

After any reload (manually or by the server) a log file will be generated at the same folder as the .qvw the name will be the name of the .qvw but with the extension .log

Erich

Ok, on the QV server I cannot see any log files named as myQVDocument.log.

Thanks

They are generated only during reload they will be together in the folder of the .qvw and sometimes windows will hide the extension and show this as a regular text file.

EDIT: (if you don't reload at least once, there will be no log)

Ok, I've reloaded data on my desktop and I can see the log file.

I have again copied the qvw on the server and I have open the file from Access Point (with IE plugin) and I've execute the macro that reloads data but I cannot any log files on the server.

Thanks

I´ve sugest to use "Ops Monitor", it´s a free QV app (search in qlik.com) we use at our production enviroment and does a great job.

Do you need to confirm if the macro is reloading?

What kind of macro is it? Because I didn't know it was possible to call something like .doreload opening a file on qvserver. Are you using EDX?

Hi Clever,

I've searched the OPS Monitor on qlik.com but unsuccessfully.

Thanks
