The Qlik Web Connectors September 2018 Release (v2.47.0) is now available on the Qlik.com download page (you need to be logged in to Qlik.com)
Along with a number of general improvements, in this version you will find:
- Qlik Sense no longer has to be placed into legacy mode to use with the Qlik Web Connectors
- the JIRA Connector is no longer in beta and is now a Premium Connector
- the Google DoubleClick for Advertisers (DFA) Connector has been placed into a deprecated state
There have also been some potentially breaking changes to the Twitter and Facebook Insights Connectors due to their respective APIs removing end-points and hence tables in the connectors. Please refer to the Release Notes for more details.
If you're using Qlik Web Connectors November 2017 and either any beta connectors or standard connectors, please read the note towards the end of this post about upgrading.
Use with Qlik Sense in Standard Mode! - Legacy Mode is no Longer Required
As noted on Qlik Community it has never been straight forward to use the Qlik Web Connectors with Qlik Sense. Fortunately this has changed with the February ’18 release of Qlik Sense, which has made it possible to use with the Qlik Web Connector without putting Qlik Sense into Legacy mode.
From the Qlik Web Connectors September ’18 release a new script tab has been added for users of Qlik Sense February ’18 release or later to make use of this. There are a few additional steps to that need to be made, which are detailed on the Qlik help site
Current Users of Beta Connectors or Only Standard Connectors
As a reminder, if you are using Qlik Web Connectors November 2017 release and either:
- any Beta Connectors or
- any Standard Connectors WITHOUT any Premium Connectors enabled
then these will expire on 30-Nov-2018, so you must upgrade to a newer version as soon as possible. We maintain a schedule here.
See here for help on upgrading.
Please see the release notes, also on the download site, for full details.
