Main new features are:

New screen at startup

When you start the application you get a list of all your configured servers. If you have opened documents before you also get an entry called 'Recent documents'. When you click on a server, the list of documents is fetched and displayed below the server. When you click on a document you open it.

Performance improvements
Communication with Qlikview Server has been rewritten for improved performance. In the BlackBerry client you can bypass the MDS server and use direct TCP or WAP2 gateway. Handling of communication errors has also been improved.

Support for multiple servers
You can now set up several Qlikview Servers in the client and easily switch between them. Username and password can be saved on the phone or entered when connecting.

Remember latest used documents
The client now remembers the latest used documents and displays a list where the user can easily reopen them. This list is the default startup point of the application, once it is not empty.

Table sort and create bookmark
Users can now sort table data in the client. Sort arrows are displayed in table headers. Client bookmarks can be created and recalled.

Improved rendering

Improved usability and Layout
The Single Object mode, introduced in version 2.0, has been redesigned. In BlackBerry client selections in chart is displayed as a transparent area. In the BlackBerry client more native objects are used. A confirmation is needed when you close the application or a document.

Zoom

On high-end devices (newer BlackBerry and Symbian) zoom is now available.

Open URL
Support for Action Open URL is now available. This depends on your device, but if there is support available the following URL types works:
- http:/https: to open the browser
- tel: to initiate a phone call
- sms: to initiate a text message
- mailto: to initiate a mail

Blackberry touch devices (like Storm) now work. If you are installing on a Storm, please uninstall the previous version before installing 3.0.

Improved support for Java ME touch devices.

A note on performance:

default setup for QlikView server connections is to try socket first, and if that fails use http. If you know that socket connections are not available (like on demo.qlikview.com) you can disable socket connection on server setup.
