Loss of server connectivity from QlikView Desktop Client (11.00.11282.0 SR1)

I am losing connectivity from QlikView Desktop Client (11.00.11282.0 SR1) to my server while making QVW design changes.

No warning, just 'Server communication lost, closing document' a dialog box within 10-20 seconds of opening ANY QVWs from the server.

Client:

Windows 8 64-bit

QlikView Desktop 11.00.11282.0 SR1 (64-bit)

Server:

Windows Server 2008 SR2

Issue resolved.

Same user logged in on two machines.

Hi,

Might be cause by a mismatch in versions. The server is on 11.20 SR5. Also, design changes are not normally done through the server.

I will update the desktop client version.

Actually, the desktop client is on a separate machine from the server, which I know is best practice.

Updated client to 11.20 SR5. Still the same issue - shuts down connectivity to the server after a few seconds.
