global column filter

Filter by columns
	for ODS_OWNER.% with column DESTINATION
record selection expression: $AR_M_SOURCE_COLUMN_DATA LIKE '%SMI%'

I have the filter above which is on a CDC task replicating  from an Oracle database.  If the DESTINATION column on a data record in the source database which has 'SMI' within the DESTINATION field is updated so that it no longer has 'SMI', the record is filtered out.

So it appears that QLIK filters on the "after" image of the record.

My question is:  Is the a way to filter on the "before" image of the record?

Hello @Bob09 ,

Yes, we can use column's before-image in transformation, or filter. Before-Image columns must be prefixed  with $BI__

Hope this helps.

Regards,

John.
