The transformations can be reused to provide data to multiple apps.
Help to remove data preparation from the analytics app workflow unless users want to build and transform data themselves in their app.

You may have 'QVD Generator Apps' and 'Apps for users'.
These have two different functions but both were 'Apps' with no way of distinguishing between them, from which folder or stream they were stored in or how they were named
This Qlik Cloud feature allows you to distinguish what is essentially a script (ie: an ETL script) from an app.
The new 'scripts' feature can also be used to reference QVS files which contain reusable script
Other considerations:
If you are building/loading to create a model that will be loaded into the app, use Sense as before.
If you are loading and transforming with the intention of storing that data back to a file, such as for AutoML or developing QVD layers, then use the script editor
