Qlik Sense dashboard replace existing app - not showing changes

Hi, 

We are using Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2023 patch 7.We are trying to replace a published app after some minor modification. After replacing the app the changes are not showing in the overwritten/published app. 

I tested by adding new sheet. When I replace the app I can see new sheet but I dont see other minor changes like button in previously existed sheet, shape change of chart object etc.,

Tried publishing through QMC, import/export app. It is the same issue across the board. Is anyone else facing this issue or do you know how to fix this issue?

Hi,

I faced a similar issue in my client-managed solution. The approach I took was first to create a copy of the published application. Then, I made the necessary changes in the copied application. After that, I unpublished the old application from the stream and finally, I published the new application with the changes as a fresh application in the same stream. next time I did a replace copy from QMC I got all the changes, I faced this issue in Mat 2023 Patch 4.

This helped me to resolve the issue in an efficient manner.

@ajaykakkar93  Thank you for sharing your exp. We have the published app ID posted in several part of org and lot of our users access app through bookmarks. All of this will be disrupted if we change app id. Sounds like it is a bug in May 2023 version.

By creating a copy of the published application, I am ensuring that any issues with the original app are not carried over. When I publish the new app, which is a replica of the original, I have the option to get bookmarks and community sheets verified by users if they have any issues.
