Data extraction using qlikview

I have a requirement to extract large sums of transactional data from qlikview.

How can I acheive it without having to load in a QVW file and be able to run in background?

What I mean to say is that can we do data extraction like we use to do in a relational database in a batch mode?

yes u can do but the problem u will have is the size of the qvw will be increased. if u have less data it works fine but if u have huge amounts of data then it wont be fast....

Still confusing.

You want to get data out of your database and into QlikView?

The easiest approach would be to use QlikView Server/Publisher to schedule loading of data during non peak hours, like at night for example.

You can set up incremental loads in QlikView using QVD files so you only need to pull the latest transactions from the database every time you're refreshing your documents.
