Custom Roll-Up with Hierarchy

No doubt your business users are asking for custom roll-up that they have come up and is not part of Enterprise Data.

QlikView can handle it rather easily by just loading the extra roll-up and using "set OtherSymbol='*';".
However, if users are asking for Tree View (List Box) of this roll-up than you have to do some work to do.

This application shows you how to do a Roll-Up and how to extend it with true Hierarchy.

Any questions or comments are welcome!

Nicely done, thanks.

I am however, trying to do a 4-tiered roll-up but am a bit stuck. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Danie

Thanks for the example. This will help me out a lot!

Although i have a question for you that you may or may not know the answer to...

On the list box that contains the hierarchy that is expandable.. if you select Jeep when it is rolled up (can't see the children) it selects all of the children. BUT when you have it unrolled (can see the children) and select Jeep it doesn't select all the children unless you highlight all of them individually. Is this the correct functionality?

Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Lisa

Thanks for comments.

1. Working on version that will dynamically support multi-tier roll-up hierarchy.

2. I believe it is normal QV behavior - depending if List Box Tree View hierarchy is expanded/collapsed the selection works differently.
